[Coladam] music files

Hey, I'm curious as to whether or not anyone remembers an old type of music file that had the extension of .mod ?

I've had these suckers for probably well over 20 years and I recently discovered that Winamp plays them. The last time I played them I think DOS was still the "in" thing on computers.

I have no idea what kind of computer originally created them though...it could have been the Commodore Amiga...

Anyone remember?
