Coleco Adam Annual Convention News and Information
The Coleco Adam Family Computer system was originally sold at retail in 1983-1985. Due to a variety of factors including bad press, over commitment of executives and a sales channel who couldn’t properly support customers, the computer ended up being a short lived retail product. But despite all of that, User Groups sprung up wherever it was sold and a part of the legacy of the Coleco Adam is the annual AdamCon computer convention. With a history going back over 30 years, it is a testament to the great engineering potential of the Coleco Adam allowing post-consumer expansions in the 3 internal slots, the cartridge port, the side bus expansion port and the “high speed” AdamNET peripheral serial bus.
